January Sale at Brentford Day Nursery

Here at Bringing Up Baby we understand that January can be a challenging month when trying to recover financially from the delights of Christmas and New year celebrations.
From the outset when Bringing Up Baby was first set up, we have always believed in good quality, affordable child care.
In order to help parents further with their childcare costs we are introducing our “January Sale “. For a limited period only, we will be not be charging a deposit and will only require a one-off payment which is non-refundable of £50.00 in place of the deposit. The registration fee will still remain at £30.00 but now the costs of taking up a place at the nursery have been significantly reduced.
For further details or to arrange a visit to the nursery please contact our experienced nursery manager: Kiran Bhatia on 020 8568 7561 or email email hidden; JavaScript is required

As the weather changes and the heating goes on, so we have been looking at the changes of season with the children. Pre School has been talking about the changes that Autumn brings, collecting conkers, twigs and leaves. We looked at the colours that come with the season, noting the change from green through yellow, orange and brown. This culminated in an Autumn display in Pre School as well as an interest table that the children created by collecting various items associated with Autumn. It proved to be very popular with both the children and the staff!
Staff team
New Manager at Brentford: As many parents will know by now we will be welcoming a new nursery manager to the Bringing Up Baby, Brentford day nursery. Kiran Bhatia will join us on 1st November 2011. We hope you will join us in welcoming her to the nursery and make her feel at home.
Training: Enjy has been on a course which is designed to help children regulate their behaviour and Florence has been on a Signing and Singing course. We hope you will see the benefits in the children of this training.
Activities
We are glad to have Sidi back for this term as the children thoroughly enjoy their sessions with him. This term we will be looking at famous French songs, how to introduce as well as the weather and counting. We will also be learning about the countryside, the mountain and the city and sea. Lots to keep us interested!
We have been looking to introduce dance classes for the Pre School and Baby Room. The session is provided by Jumping Beans and should be fun. There will be a small charge for this season. Parents who may be interested should contact the office for further details.
Fancy Dress Day
As you will see from our diary dates, 9th November is our Fancy Dress Day. All children love to dress up so this is an occasion where we can all dress up and make it a great day for the children. We have made some plans of what will happen on the day but we welcome any suggestions you may have. There will be prizes for the best fancy dress from the children, the staff and the parents, so do come and join us. All proceeds to go to a charity called ‘Mary’s Meals’.
Parents Communication Board
We have been looking at improvement for the garden as it is an important part of learning at the nursery. The outdoor environment teaches our children a lot about the world around them. We know that these areas also have to be safe areas for learning to take place so we will shortly be carrying out the following works:
The fire exit will have an additional gate to prevent children from accessing it other than in an emergency, while the front part of the garden will be resurfaced with a new, soft play surface. The remaining surfaces will be jet cleaned with the planters being painted to give them a new lease of life.
A new shed will be installed for the outdoor toys and there will be a new canopy to cover the bins at the front of the building.
Indoors, Pre School will have a new security gate between the main room and the lavatories, one that all adults will hopefully find easier but will still act as a barrier to the children.
Diary Dates
Here are a few dates for your diary. More details will be given on each event nearer the time.
