As you may have noticed, we have just launched our new website. The site has had a refresh in terms of design and brings us more up to date.

A major development to the site built by rad apple is the private area for parents and nursery staff. Each nursery has its own area where nursery staff can post news stories (or blogs) for parents to read. This allows us to upload pictures of parents’ children safely and securely, whilst keeping parents as up to date as possible with the development of their child. It will also save us on paper as we can deliver our news online!

Feel free to let us know what you think of the new site!

All of our nurseries are members of their local Early Years Development and Childcare Partnership. This enables us to access external training courses as well as to link up with an Early Years Advisor.

These advisors regularly visit the nurseries and provide advice, support and guidance in areas such as curriculum planning, observation and assessment and Special Educational Needs.

Some of our advisors have also provided us with some excellent in house training for our staff as well as speaking at Parents Evenings.
Good practice is shared amongst the Company and new ideas and procedures are put into place as and when necessary.

Since 6th April 2006 Childcare Vouchers (to a limit of £55 per week or £243 per month) have been exempt from Tax and National Insurance Contributions (NIC) for employees.

Childcare Vouchers can be offered to you by your employer in addition to your salary but are more commonly offered as a “salary sacrifice”. This means that you sacrifice a specific amount of your salary and receive that equivalent amount in childcare vouchers. This means you will only pay Tax and NIC on the reduced level of your salary. For more information on Childcare Vouchers visit www.daycaretrust.org.uk or contact us.
At Bringing up Baby we currently accept the following vouchers: Accor, Busy Bees, Care-4, Leapfrog, Kids Unlimited, Sodexho and individual company schemes.

As part of Bringing up Baby’s ongoing commitment to working in partnership with parents, we are proud to announce that we have been successful in our bid to join the Childcare Affordability Programme (CAP).

CAP is an initiative of the London Development Agency and is currently only available at our Richford Street & Vale Day Nurseries.

The purpose of this scheme is to offer flexible childcare at affordable rates to parents who need support in order to continue with their employment or wish to return to the workforce.

All this is made possible through the Boroughs of Hammersmith & Fulham and Brent who will subsidise part of the cost of the nursery places. As a result parents can make savings on their nursery fees. Please contact us for more information.
