Resizing Text
We have introduced many features to make Bringing up Baby accessible to as many users as possible. The site is built to allow you to make all text bigger or smaller if your browser allows it. In Internet Explorer or Firefox, text sizing is available in the ‘View’ menu then the ‘Text Size’ menu. In Mozilla or Netscape, through the ‘View’ menu then the ‘Text Zoom’ menu, or by pressing “CTRL” and “+/-”. In Opera, use the ‘View’ menu then the ‘Zoom menu’.
Browser Compatibility
The site has been thoroughly tested in all modern browsers on Windows, Mac OS and Linux. It is also built to “degrade gracefully” in older browsers. This means it may not look the same, but all the information in the site will still be accessible. This site will display perfectly for any resolution of 800 x 600 or higher.
Built to standards
This site is compliant with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines version 1. It also uses valid XHTML and CSS. This means the site should be compliant with the U.K. Disability Discrimination Act and the U.S. Federal Government Section 508 Guidelines.
