Spring News 2010

We can’t believe how quickly the time is flying by and we are already into spring. It’s so nice to see the flowers blooming and at last sunshine!

We would like to say a big thank you to all the parents and children that supported our Easter Bonnet Parade and we must say there were some very creative bonnets this year. Please take a look at a few photographs of the event, they look great. 

Yippee! the Easter Parade was so much fun for all the children, staff and yes of course all the parents! We all made our Easter bonnets and wore them while we paraded around the nursery, dancing and singing away, simply enjoying the fun. After the parade we all sat down for our Easter Tea and enjoyed all the lovely food we had to eat.

Curriculum Evening

We would like to remind you of a few forthcoming events starting with our curriculum evening on Wednesday 5th May from 7.00-8.00pm. This is a great opportunity to find out more about the EYFS curriculum and how we plan, record and observe children’s interests and monitor their progress. You will also have the opportunity to explore the many activities that will be set out and have fun playing too. We really hope that you can attend. Please look out for your invitations.

Parent/Keyperson Meetings.

On Wednesday 26th May is it our Parent/Keyperson Meetings. Please make appointments with your child’s key person to discuss your child’s developmental progress. 

Under Twos

April brought a lot of Sunshine and Smiles to us all in Baby room 1!

We enjoyed spending time in our freshly washed garden. We enjoy having more freedom to move around without being wrapped up in our winter clothing. We are now into riding bikes and some of us are starting to use pedals.

This month we would like to thank all our parents/carers for bringing their children’s favourite books into the nursery to share with their friends at circle times. This has helped individual children to feel special and valuable members of the group.

Baby room 2 welcomed new children that are settling in very well. A lot of the babies are now become more active. Some have started to sit and some are beginning to walk and even use Walkers! One of our most recent activities that was great fun was hand and foot printing to see how fast we grow.

Over Twos

Spring time brings many exciting things like butterflies, bumble bees and pretty flowers. We also brought spring into our nursery by planting Sunflowers and tulips. We water them every day and take them outside in the garden to give them sunshine so they can grow. We just can’t wait to see whose sunflower will grow the tallest. We also drew lots of pretty flowers.
