Happy Holidays Everyone!

In January we are expecting some new babies to start settling in. The 2-3’s room will be busy as a lot of children from baby room will be two years old and will be moving up to the over two’s.Our open day is Saturday 19th January from 11 AM to 2 PM.
This month the over two’s will be developing their literacy areas with the main focus being on the mark making area and the book corner. Last year we started a Home loan book scheme where children and parents could borrow books from the nursery. This has proven to be so popular that we have simply run out of books! So this month we are looking to build up our stock again and ensure every child has a book bag. We would also like to develop a reading rota for parents to encourage them to spend a few minutes reading with their child. This could involve a parent leading story time for the whole group or a quiet one to one with their own child in the book corner at the beginning or end of the day. All volunteers please speak to Marion or Nadine in the 3-5’s group.
